Bringing together disparate pieces of data to narrate insightful stories to make some big decisions!”
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
"After a very long and unconventional career trajectory through many higher institutions and lab settings, I ended up getting my Masters in Analytics at NCSU in 2018. Best feeling ever!"
What's something that you're working on?
"Data viz is a HUGE passion. You can't make decisions with data without being able to visualize it correctly. So one thing I've been planning is a curriculum for grad students in data storytelling."
How would you describe your perspective?
"I'd like to say I'm 'glass half full' but I'm 'glass half empty' lately. I try to see the best in anyone I encounter and try to be mindful of kindness. This pushes me to be the optimist I used to be."

I'd love to open my own data analytics consultancy specifically targeted to help addiction & recovery organizations. Just think of what data-driven solutions can do!"
What's your day-to-day mantra?
"Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."
"Because it's true!"
How do you advocate for others?
"It's simple. You find the most effective ways that make people feel empowered. You listen. And then you reply in a way that make people feel heard and supported. I like to be mindful and attentive."
"I support and listen to people the way I'd want them to support and listen to me."
What's something you're geeking out about right now?
"My wife and I have been playing a lot of VR during COVID times to keep us busy during lockdown. I've been nerding out a lot about the technology and mechanics happening in the backend."

What's a struggle you've overcome, and what did you learn from it?
"Finding my voice in large groups has always been a struggle. It's taken a village and many years of experience to find it, but now that I have it's such a gift. Hope to help others find theirs too."
