The Renal Cell Carcinoma mobile-responsive website was part of an educational initiative through Duke University, sponsored by Pfizer and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network.
As part of an ongoing grant for provider education about renal cell carcinoma, or kidney cancer, experts at Duke wanted to deliver topic-focused information to providers in an easy-to-access space. Given the low prevalence of seeing patients and the changing treatment options for RCC, it is challenging for community oncologists to gain the experience they need in this therapeutic area. A better way for providers to access cutting-edge information was needed.
Reify Media created a mobile-ready, web-based performance support system powered by WordPress, to house the educational content. Providers can visit the public site renalcell.org from their computers, tablets, or phones, and information is always only a few taps away. The site’s short video bursts are carefully categorized, and by clicking on a category, the providers can see more videos within the same topic area.
Now the important research about and recommendations for kidney cancer treatment are available to community practitioners in oncology, nationwide, who would benefit from the experience of specialists at Duke, with only a few clicks or taps.
