Job Description

As Marketing/Communications Coordinator, you would have the opportunity to:

  • Manage all phases of communications projects which might include
    • partnering with clients to develop a clear and efficient communications strategy
    • communicating key messages—developing content around the value of an event or product
    • exploring and securing different channel and distribution lists; engaging and building relationships with potential channel partners  
    • researching, developing, writing and editing relevant content for collateral, websites, blogs, case studies, newsletters, client, member and corporate communications, and email campaigns
    • creating editorial calendars for developing and repurposing content and eblast templates; outlining the timeline and execution of messaging and improving the consistency and timeliness of messaging across multiple media platforms 
    • adapting content to varied communication media – website, eblasts, Twitter and LinkedIn; mine and manage both new and existing social media channels – LinkedIn, Twitter
    • collaborating with client on social media metrics – follower trends, tweets and retweets, views, comments, website / landing page visits
    • creating systems that make it easier for clients to reach audience groups and track messaging and visitor engagement data
    • managing, measuring, assessing, and communicating the performance and effectiveness of all marketing and communications programs and content, at an individual client and campaign level
  • Work closely with Reify team members to lead high-visibility projects, which might include
    • meeting with clients for face-to-face, on-site meetings
    • providing weekly status updates (schedules, resources, risks), determining next steps, and managing deadlines
    • building and communicating reasonable project schedules
    • capturing notes at client meetings and during phone conferences
    • sharing notes and files with the team
  • Take on responsibility for complete ownership of projects, which might include
    • serving as primary point of contact with clients, communicating regularly, and providing outstanding customer service to ensure client goals are being met 
    • using technology to help complete projects, learning new tech tools that may help our clients, and using different tech programs and devices to communicate with team members
    • ensuring quality and accuracy of work product; maintaining consistency for the brand—ours and our clients’

Experience/Skills Required

  • Excellent communications and marketing writing skills with the ability to convey information in a clear, concise, and easy-to-understand way: web content, press releases, and other marketing communications pieces
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with great attention to detail and excellent writing strengths
  • Experience with writing customer-centric digital, interactive and/or rich media content
  • Experience with web analytics, SEO, email, social media channels
  • Strong understanding of email marketing tools – Constant Contact
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products – Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook
  • Marketing communications project management skills
  • Collaborative and able to work in a team environment
  • Communicates well with a wide variety of audiences

  • Remains flexible with changing client requirements and is determined to resolve customer issues
  • Organized

Candidate Preferences

  • BA/BS in communications, marketing, English, journalism or related field
  • 2-4 years experience in communications or marketing
  • Experience with writing for medical audiences
  • Experience using SalesForce
  • Past experience in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop and/or Illustrator) and/or WordPress
